How to Clean the Bath Mat Cover

• Shake - Daily Care: Shake out, sweep, or vacuum regularly to remove dirt, dust, and debris.

• Spot Treat - Quick Refresh: Treat small stains with Ruggable Spot Cleaner or a mild soap-and-water solution.

• Machine Wash - Deep Clean: Peel the Bath Mat Cover away from the Bath Mat Pad, then machine-wash the Cover in cold water using a mild, liquid, non-bleach detergent. Tumble dry on air fluff mode or lay flat to air-dry.

  • Important: Do not use fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Fabric softener can reduce absorbency, while bleach can weaken the fibers and cause fading.

• To maintain optimal freshness and absorbency, we recommend replacing your bath mat every 12 to 18 months.

How to Clean the Bath Mat Pad

Clean the Bath Mat Pad every 2 to 4 weeks, or immediately after major spills, to help keep the non-slip backing effective.

• Regular Care: Spot clean the bottom of the Bath Mat Pad with a damp cloth. Periodically wipe down the underside of the Bath Mat Pad and the floor beneath it.

• Deeper Clean: Saturate the Bath Mat Pad with soapy water, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Hang to dry until completely moisture-free. Do not dry in direct sunlight.

  • Important: Do not iron, bleach, machine-wash, or tumble-dry the Bath Mat Pad. Only the Bath Mat Cover is machine-washable.

Need a new pad? If your Bath Mat Pad is ready to retire or you want a backup on hand, replacement Bath Mat Pads are available separately.

How do I treat stains on my Bath Mat Cover

For harder-to-remove stains, treat the affected area before washing.

1. Use a clean paper towel or cloth to lightly absorb any excess liquid

2. Apply our Ruggable Spot Cleaner or Mix 1-2 teaspoons of liquid laundry detergent with a cup of warm water and dampen a color-safe cloth with the mixture

3. Blot the stained area with the cloth, then rinse with cool, clean water.

4. Put the Bath Mat Cover in the washer with the design side facing out.

5. Machine-wash the cover in cold water on a normal cycle using a mild, non-bleach detergent.

6. Dry on low heat or hang dry.
