How thick is the Rug Cover?
The Rug Cover is 1/8th of an inch thick.
How thick is the non-slip Rug Pad?
The Rug Pad is 1/8th of an inch thick. It was designed to provide cushion without excess heaviness and to give clearance for opening a door without catching it on the rug.
Is the non-slip Rug Pad safe for hardwood floors?
Our latex-free TPR backing material has passed all flooring tests and does not stain or leave residue on hard surface floors or vinyl. We always recommend double-checking with the flooring manufacturer to be extra cautious.
Is this a good product if you have pets?
Our rugs are absolutely pet-friendly. You can easily clean both the cover and the pad (see care instructions) and rinse away stains and odors - including all the hair, dirt, slobber and scooting! Our covers are also machine washable so you can take its cover apart from the pad and put it in a home washing machine.
Is Ruggable 100% pet-proof?
The Ruggable cover is waterproof, stain resistant and machine washable, allowing you to have a hassle-free household complete with all kinds of pet (and non-pet) related accidents. However, if you have a young pet or a pet that likes to chew or claw on things, please be careful if you purchase a Ruggable. Unfortunately, we are not 100% chew-proof or claw-proof.
Can I use a Ruggable rug over carpet?
We typically don't recommend using a Ruggable over carpet. Our Non-slip Rug Pad was designed for hard surface floors.
How does the 2 piece system cling to each other?
The Cling Effect™ technology (similar to Hook & Loop) on the underside of the cover makes it cling to the Rug Pad and allows the cover to stay in place, be removed and reapplied without losing its grip.
Do I have to order both the Rug Cover and Pad?
We recommend ordering them both because it is a 2-piece system. Once you have a Rug Pad, you can place cover-only orders that you can use to switch out designs as you like.
How long does it take to receive the product after placing an order?
All of our products, except for Sample Sale, are made-to-order and take 1-2 weeks on average from the date of order to ship (during holidays and sales, please expect 3-4 weeks).
Each of the rugs ordered through Ruggable.com are made-to-order at our production facility in Los Angeles. This process takes 1-2 weeks on average from the date of order to ship. The Ruggable crew is doing their best to ship your order as promptly as possible. You will receive an email notification including your tracking number as soon as the order is shipped.
How big are the packages?
Packaging varies by the size of the rug and the number of items ordered. Typically, 3x5 and 2.5x7 rugs are shipped in a box that measures 36x6x6 (inches), 5x7 rugs - 58x6x6 (inches), 8x10 rugs - 96x8x8 (inches) box, small cover only - 16x12x4 (inches) box, and large cover only - 24x16x4 (inches).
What is the return policy?
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you may return an unused rug for a flat return shipping in the case the rug does not fit your expectations in feel, design etc. For more information on our return policy, please click here.
Do you ship internationally?
We regret to inform you that we currently do not ship outside of the U.S. We are working on a solution to make international deliveries available soon. Please contact customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, country, and e-mail to be added to our mailing list. We will reach out once the service becomes available for your country. We thank you for your interest.
What is our rug cover made of?
The rug cover consists of 3 layers: the top surface is 100% woven polyester chenille, the internal waterproof barrier is 100% polyurethane and the bottom surface of the cover is 100% polyester knit.
Do they contain chemical bonding agents/glue or petroleum-based materials?
We use non-toxic glue to bond the top and bottom layer of the fabric together. The glue is made from polyester and is a wearable grade. It's the same kind of glue used for bonding fabric in apparel fabrics.
What is the rug pad made of?
The Rug Pad is made of polyester (95% recycled fiber). The Cling Effect™ texture is created by heating the surface (think Crème Brûlée dessert). The non-slip backing is made of Thermoplastic Resin, (TPR) a latex-free synthetic material that is commonly used in yoga mats.
Where is it made?
Our rugs are made in Los Angeles, California, USA.
What does it mean for the Rug Cover to be waterproof?
The Rug Cover has an internal waterproof barrier so when spills are made, the top fibers will absorb the liquid but the barrier prevents it from seeping through to the bottom portion of the Cover.
Is the Pad waterproof also? Can I just wipe after a spill?
Yes, the Pad is also waterproof. After a spill, simply apply pressure to absorb the liquid, then clean with warm soapy water if needed and hang to air dry.
What does it mean to be stain resistant?
Our polyester rug cover is naturally stain-resistant and we do not add finishes or treatments to the material. We also recommend washing the rug immediately after an oil-based spill occurs. If not attended to immediately, oil-based stains may become permanent.
What size standard washers work well when washing my Ruggable?
Our rugs can fit comfortably in a standard or large capacity top or front load washer (with or without an agitator). From largest to smallest, our 8x10 and 5x7 rugs fit into a 3.8 cubic ft washer. Our 2.5x7 and 3x5 sizes can even fit in 2.2 cubic ft compact washer!
What happens if there is a stain/dirt incident on my Ruggable?
For best washing results, wash your Rug Cover immediately after the stain/dirt incident. Remove any excess stain/dirt before wash. Stains may become permanent if the Rug Cover remains unwashed for a prolonged period of time.
Can the Rug Covers be washed using bleach?
For all Rug Covers, we recommend using mild non-bleach detergent. Please avoid fabric softeners.
How do I dry the rug cover?
Dry all covers in the dryer on low heat. Avoid high heat.
Is the Rug Pad also machine washable? What is the best way to wash the Rug Pad?
Our Rug Pad isn't machine washable, but it can be spot treated with a household disinfectant that does not contain bleach. To thoroughly clean, saturate the Rug Pad in warm soapy water, rinse with clean water, and hang to dry.
What detergent products do you recommend for the Rug Cover?
We recommend using non-bleach detergents and also avoid using fabric softener when washing rug covers in a washing machine.
Can I use fabric softener?
No, do not use fabric softener when washing the Rug Cover.
Can I vacuum Rug Cover and Pad?
Yes, but we do not recommend using high suction settings when vacuuming your Ruggable.
