Whether you live in a megalopolis like New York or a rising urban star like Austin, you have to agree that the call of the city is as strong as ever. For us city dwellers, nothing energizes quite like the rush of early morning traffic, the gleam of skyscrapers, the diversity of cultures, the bustling nightlife, and the myriad opportunities available at our fingertips. Whatever it is, there’s something about the city that appeals to people from all walks of life.
For those who thrive in this dynamic environment, we hear you. And that’s why our newest rug designs aim to capture the pulse and beat of the city—from the architecture and skyline of the world’s biggest cities to the soul and subculture hidden behind the works of local street artists. If you’re looking for city- and street art-inspired rugs to energize the interior of your home, here are some of our favorites:
1. Lux Grey Rug
Lux Grey Rug offers a dramatic aerial view of an urban jungle. Featuring sky-high towers hand-drawn in meticulous detail, as well as pops of yellow that represent light trails, this rug gives a fantastic backdrop even when you don’t have a floor-to-ceiling window view of the city. This design is also available in blue and neutral.
2. Metro Multicolor Rug
Metro Multicolor Rug is inspired by subway maps, a staple in every metropolitan city. Clean lines and color blocks of yellow, orange and green represent the train routes, punctuated by circles, which symbolize the stations. Subtle yet playful, this rug will give any space a dynamic feel. Also available in red and blue.
3. Lokal Charcoal Rug
Graffiti has come a long way, from once an unwelcome sight to now an art form. As a decorative element, graffiti rugs are the easiest way to add personality and instant coolness to any room. Lokal Charcoal Rug, which features heavy graffiti lines in high-contrast tones of grey taupe on pearl, is a fine example. This design is also available in blue and neutral tones.
4. Lumen Multicolor Rug
Fan of street art but not ready to commit to a wall mural? We recommend the Lumen Multicolor Rug. This rug uses thick graffiti lines and jewel-toned shapes for that stained-glass effect. Also available in blue and neutral tones.

Thank you so much for sharing, Dee! We hear you, it’s tough when there are so many great options to choose from. If you end up choosing more than 5, the extra rugs will definitely come in handy with those seasonal changes. 🙂
